The criteria, before the ranking
This list is ranked for a specific contractor: one to twenty people, quoting residential gutter work regularly, who wants measurement, estimating and customer records in one place at a price they can see without booking a demo.
Change that person and the order changes, and the section at the bottom says exactly how. A ranking whose criteria appear after the winner is an advertisement.
This list is written by Gutter IQ, which is ranked first under these criteria and is not first under several others. Every entry has a "where it loses" note, including ours, and ours names three things competitors on this list do better.
Best if you measure often and want one published price
Satellite eave tracing, iPhone AR and LiDAR capture on site, and a manual sketch fallback, with the measurement flowing straight into a branded estimate with e-signature and payments. A coil calculator reads the eave length off the job measurement, so the material order never involves retyping a number you already measured. Pricing is published in full: $29 a month for one user, $49 up to five, $99 up to ten, $199 up to twenty. Web plus a free iPhone app on the App Store.
Best for trade depth, and the only one with real training built in
Built by a gutter contractor, and it shows in the parts that are not software: an aluminum and copper coil calculator, a vetted supplier directory, and Gutter School, a free ongoing training library covering K-style and half round installation. Quotes, contracts, a customer database and payments are all there. It runs on both iOS and Android, which nothing else gutter specific on this list does.
Best if you are one truck and do not want a subscription at all
Free, browser based, no account required, and published by the Rain Gutter Association rather than by a vendor. You draw the gutter map with real gutter objects, miters, downspouts and options, and it prices as you draw. For a contractor doing a few quotes a week this is genuinely the right answer, and any list that leaves it out to sell you something is not being straight with you.
Best when you want a third party report rather than software
Sells measurement reports, not a platform. Their gutter report has been a dedicated product since 2014 and includes eave measurements plus downspout and miter corner counts. Published pricing as of August 2026: $13.75 for a residential gutter report and $23.25 for commercial. At that price, a contractor who only needs the numbers has a cheaper and more defensible answer than any subscription on this list.
Best gutter measurement output of anything here
The most gutter literate measurement report we found. It returns eave and gutter linear measurements plus end caps, miters and downspout placement pins, and applies a customizable waste factor with a 5 percent default. Miters and end caps are what actually drive a gutter bid, and nothing else on this list reports them. Published August 2026: gutter measurement at $15 pay as you go or $11 on a subscription, with subscriptions from $105 per user per month, or from $52 per user per month billed annually at ten or more users.
Best if you run several trades and gutters are one of them
A general home services platform used across dozens of trades, with satellite measurement through its MapMeasure tool at no per measurement fee. It publishes five tiers in full, which is more granularity than most: as of August 2026, $29.99, $74.99, $149.99, $299 and $699 a month, with annual rates lower. It is also the most visible product in this category’s search results by a wide margin.
Best for drawing the job on a tablet in front of the customer
Field drawing done properly, with a product catalogue driving material selection and cost as you draw. Published August 2026: $10 a month for Draw Basic and $30 for Draw Pro on annual billing, with Takeoff at $99 and Estimates at $129. If your sales process is sitting at a kitchen table sketching the house, this is the best tool on the list for that.
Best for scheduling, dispatch and getting paid
A mature home services operations platform: scheduling, routing, dispatch, invoicing, payments and a large integration ecosystem. Published August 2026 list rates: $49, $139, $199 and $499 a month, with additional users at $29 each. If your bottleneck is coordinating crews rather than producing quotes, this solves a problem none of the measurement tools touch.
The other serious general home services option
Very close to Jobber in scope and maturity, with strong consumer facing booking and marketing features. Published August 2026: $79, $189 and $329 a month, or $59, $149 and $299 billed annually, covering one, five and eight users respectively.
Best if you want an instant quote widget on your own website
A different job from everything above: an embeddable quoting widget that gives a homeowner a number on your website, using satellite imagery and automatic calculation of gutters, downspouts and accessories. If inbound lead capture is your constraint rather than field estimating, this is the only product here aimed at it.
Different criteria, different answer
The ranking above assumes you quote often and want published pricing. Here is who wins if that is not you.
| If your priority is | The answer is |
|---|---|
| Spending nothing at all | RGA Estimator. Free, gutter native, published by the trade association. |
| Your crew is on Android | GutterApp among the gutter specific tools, or QuoteIQ and Jobber among the generalists. Gutter IQ is iPhone and web today, with an Android build is in development with no release date announced. |
| The most accurate, most defensible measurement | EagleView at $13.75 a residential gutter report, or RoofSnap if you want miters and end caps broken out. |
| Learning the trade as well as running it | GutterApp. Gutter School is a real training library and nothing else here has an equivalent. |
| Scheduling and dispatching crews | Jobber or Housecall Pro. Neither measures anything, and neither pretends to. |
| Capturing leads from your own website | GutterQuote AI. A quoting widget is a different product from a field estimating app. |
| Selling at the kitchen table with a tablet | ArcSite. The best drawing experience on the list. |
| You run gutters plus three other trades | QuoteIQ or a general platform. Gutter specific tools stop being an advantage once gutters are a third of your revenue. |
What the category still does not have
Worth saying plainly, because it shapes every option above. Nobody in this category currently offers all four of: satellite measurement, a gutter aware material takeoff including miters and end caps, downspout drop heights, and Android. Every product on this list is missing at least one of them, ours included. If a page tells you one tool does everything, check it against that list.
Common questions
What is the best software for a gutter contractor?
It depends mostly on whether you measure. If you quote regularly, software with measurement included costs less than a subscription plus per report fees. If you quote a handful of jobs a week, the Rain Gutter Association’s free RGA Estimator is genuinely enough and costs nothing. If your bottleneck is scheduling crews rather than winning bids, Jobber or Housecall Pro solve a problem none of the measurement tools touch.
Is there free gutter estimating software?
Yes. RGA Estimator from the Rain Gutter Association is free, browser based and needs no account. GutterApp is free to download, though it does not publish a subscription price and its revenue model is described as payment processing plus optional paid services. Most other products in this category are paid subscriptions with a trial.
Which gutter software measures from satellite?
Gutter IQ, QuoteIQ through MapMeasure, and GutterQuote AI all use satellite imagery directly. RoofSnap and EagleView produce aerial measurement reports you order rather than trace yourself. GutterApp, ArcSite, Jobber and Housecall Pro have no satellite measurement at all.
Does any gutter software have a coil calculator?
GutterApp has had one for some time and markets it heavily, in aluminum and copper. Gutter IQ added one in August 2026 that reads the gutter run off the job’s existing measurement rather than making you type it. There is also a free public version of it at gutter-coil-calculator on this site that needs no account.
Which of these run on Android?
GutterApp, QuoteIQ, ArcSite, Jobber and Housecall Pro all ship Android apps. Gutter IQ is web plus a free iPhone app on the App Store; an Android build is in development with no release date announced. If your crew is on Android today, that is a real reason to choose something else for now. RGA Estimator and GutterQuote AI are browser based, so they work anywhere.
Why do some of these not publish their pricing?
Quote only pricing is common in contractor software, usually because it is priced per seat or per technician and negotiated. JobNimbus, AccuLynx, ServiceTitan and Service Fusion are all quote only, and GutterApp publishes only its payment processing rates. That is not automatically a bad sign, but it does mean you cannot compare them in an evening, and it is worth knowing which ones will cost you a sales call before you can see a number.
